Hey.. let me tell you a lil about myself first. I have a 3.9 unweighted GPA, involved in a lot of clubs like fbla, tutoring, national honor society, french honor society, french club, diversity awareness, and more. I'm in 3 AP classes this year, and took 2 last year. I haven't taken the SATS or ACTS yet. (I take them in april + may) I really want to go out of state for college (i live in colorado). I want to maybe go to new york or maybe california.. Do you have any colleges you recommend based on my academics? Is it possible to apply to cornell or any ivy with these grades? If not, where do you recommend? *i have no idea what i want to major in college. something in business maybe.. * I'm also planning on early decision my senior year. is that a good idea? I"m talking to my counselor about this in like 3 weeks or something, but i'm just curious. Thanks.

You are doing well in school. I recommend that you apply to at least 3 schools (of course only if you can afford to): 1. Dream school if grades weren't an issue where would u want to go. 2. Safety school-what school based solely on my grades can i get into 3. Anything between 1 and 2.

All schools are really. Cornell of course is the hardest to get into because it is ivy league. Junior year is the best time to visit campuses to see if you like the feel of the schools.

A business degree is always useful in whichever career you end up in.

You should only apply for early decision if you know for sure you want to go to that school because if accepted you are bond to go to that school.

Keep up the good work. Get your scores off to the schools you are interested as soon as possible. See if they have an application fee waver if you apply by a certain date. Cornell does not offer any specific requirements of GPA and SAT or ACT scores. I would recommend taking a subject SAT exam as it looks like they like to see that. If Cornell is where you would like to go work hard meet deadlines. If you are interested in NY State Colleges, Hartwick is in Oneonta, NY. They are suppose to be a very strong academic college. It was one of the colleges that I was looking into. I decided to head south though. When choosing a college it is important to have an idea of what you want to be, because you will want to find a college that has a strong academic program in your desired course of study. If you don't know what you want to do I would recommend going to a state school and transfering out later on. You will save lots of money while you decide what you want to do. Good Luck.

You have really good grades and have a very good chance in going to a very good university. It's good that you're thinking of this now as it will be very stressful if you wait until senior year to do college applications and essays. For universities, you'll have to do your own research and ask your counselor. It is also a good idea to visit the colleges you're interested in during your summer vacation. Make sure you do well on your SATs and start thinking about what you're going to write for your college essays as universities also base your acceptance on these. But I don't recommend early decision unless you're absolutely sure about which college you want to go to.

you've got to do well on those SAT and ACT tests coming up. I don't know what admissions are like at ivy schools, I didn't care to apply my school was in state, but it sounds like you'd have a chance. Early decision could limit your choices, but that's something you need to decide on for yourself.

Consider a business major, Stanford, international finance and with the diversity interest, eventually working for a global business with postings overseas...at your age, see the world and get paid well to do it.

faculties purely choose your unweighted cumulative GPA on the tip of junior year. in case you do no longer stay in California- CA state faculties tend to settle for few out of state scholars, and out of state student choose greater efficient transcripts to get in. training at UCLA for out of state scholars is on the brink of $50,000 in keeping with year-it relatively is purely training. Plan on taking your SAT early and take it returned till now senior year starts. maximum scholars score greater the 2d time.-and you will see the place you choose progression faculties might particularly see you in leaderships place in some golf equipment particularly than a member in numerous.
