I just applied for a job at a real estate office. They "loved" my resume and called me in for an interview. When I went in, the HR intern interviewed me by herself. Then they called back and want to schedule two more interviews: one with the HR and one with the exec. Is this normal in the business world? The girl was such a dumbasss when it came to interviewing me, and she is only about 21 years old, not very experienced at all. Do you think I should consider this job? It's $17 an hour on just weekends, so they pay sounds good, but I already feel put-off by the company's manners.

I agree this is unprofessional!

It is not uncommon to have a telephone interview where someone (like an intern) asks prepared "screening" questions and decides if an on-site interview is necessary. However, they should complete the interview process once they get you on-site.

It sounds like they have low regard for people and no respect for your time.

This would be a red flag for me.

The first interview was just to see what you look like, if you would blend in at their office. It is still going in the good U>S>A>. Each office must have their quota of difference type of workers so people want think that they are discriminating against a certain race. Nothing personal, just the good old USA.

Far as the job, what do you have to loss, go for it sound like good pay to start.

The intern needs the experience and the HR and executive team need to weed out the losers. You should feel that a call back is a good thing. If you were in the interns place you too would want the chance.

I would not take it as a bad sign, all HR folks had to learn their trade as they went along. If you think this could be a good opportunity go back for the next interview and see how things go. Don't judge the company by one person. She was probably more nervous than you were and just didn't know which way to go.

I don't think it sounds weird. I would take that as a very good sign. They expected you'd get a second interview anyways, so let the intern get some experience. I don't think they would trust an intern to weed people OUT, do you?
