You really can't, the only way to end it is to take them all out. I just ended up going after them myself, starting the war by shooting 3 in a group, and got it over with.

save your game. saving your game will cancel out any territory fights.
I think getting wasted or busted also cancels it out. Try it and see.
If you think saving your game is too much trouble, maybe you should just find the nearest safe house and buy it. It's a little bit frivolous, but most players carry around a lot of money anyway that they never use. If you're going to try getting 100% in the game, all the properties are required to be bought anyway. "100%" is different from "beating it". (You don't have to get all the properties if you just want to beat the story.)

thats easy. when they start attacking one of your territories go to the nearest safe house and save your game. when u leave the house the attack has stopped and u still possess the territory. and btw you dont have to load the saved game for it to work, and this works on all version of gta san andreas for all systems.

There is a glitch in the game were if your territory is under attack Save the game then load that game and they wont be attacking anymore. this works on pc i am not sure about the other game systems but try it out and see what happens

Im afraid there's nothing you can do.
Once you get pissed off just stop playing for a while It helps when the game really boring.

There is only one way you have to activate a few cheat codes mainly unllimited health and ammo and just go from area to area starting gang wars it will take time.It took me just over 2 hours but at lest it stopped them from taking the area back.

I've heard of like an easter egg that deals with this. If you are near a safehouse when it is attacked, save the game, and turn off the Xbox, then, turn it back on, and it shouldn't be under attack. Or I think you don't have to turn it off. I heard it somewhere.

the only way to keep the other gangs from attacking is to gain all of thier territories

you've gotta take over all the territories for them to stop attacking or just complete the main missions for that one to be over...
