I prefer the term, "inter-galactic neighbors". It's more politically correct. Star date; 2507

UFO's by definition, most certainly exist. In other words people see things in the sky, that are not fully explained, all of the time

However there is little or no verifiable evidence that Earth is being visited by alien life forms.

Remember just because you can't explain something doesn't automatically mean it's from another planet. It could be an undiscovered natural phenomenon, or it could be an unfamiliar human-made object.

That is a very difficult question, and takes a very large approach to even have a decent answer.

My opinion is that yes, life on other planets exists. At what form, I do not know. At what level of technology, I have no clue. But, with as vast as the universe is, there has to be something else out there.

Take just this planet. Many years ago, reptiles were king. They didn't really do much, they never evolved very far, there really wasn't much of a chance for them. However, science says that our ancestors survived what killed the dinosaurs, which appears to be a metor impact by many scientific explainations.

But, lets go with there was no meteor impact. Let's say that life on Earth went on from the reptiles. With as much more advanced that reptiles were compared to what became man, or what is belived to have become man, intelligent life on Earth itself would have been very different had the meteor not impacted Earth. It could have been 100,000 years ago that something that looked more like a lizard than we look like a squirrel would be asking the same question you are now.

The other thing is that the distance in space and the length of technological advances. 300 years ago, if you told someone that there would be passenger airline service, television, regular flights into space, and that man would have been to the moon 6 times, they would have called you insane. 100 years ago, flight to the moon that happened 30 years ago would be called science fiction. The computer that you are reading this on right now, magic for someone 500 years ago. And mankind as a civilization has not even been around for 20,000 years. How long ago were the dinosaurs around?

Say a solar system had cooled 1 million years before ours did. Say civilization went along on that planet EXACTLY as it did on ours. Say 500,000 years ago, a species had mastered interplanetary travel. Remember, I am going with a 1 million year head start on another planet, and our planet didn't even have running water until about 2000 years ago, and then in limited supply in Rome. If a species came to Earth, what would they think of Earth a half a million years ago? At that time, it was the big transition from Homo Erectus to Homo Sapien. We would be 400,000 years away from being as evolved as the Neanderthal man. In case you haven't noticed, the Neaderthan man is dead. The species that came to this planet, in my hypothetical situation, could have suffered the same fate as the dinosaurs with their entire civilization dying out.

I think there is something else out there. However, I do not think they are on the same technology scale that we are one.

There is no substantial physical evidence to prove that intelligent beings from another planet exist or have visited our planet. I am 100% sure that life exists on other planets, whether they be in the form of bacteria or intelligent life; I also beleive we might have already been visited countless times by unidentified flying objects possibly containing aliens - from the ordinary civilian to countless military and government aircraft personnel, people from numerous races and religious beliefs have believed to have seen UFO's or even aliens for that matter. Too bad thers no physical evidence to prove it though.

There are too many credible witnesses.
What was seen was not known, so yes UFO's by definition do exist.
The question is what are they and to what extent is the alien myth true.
Our own government has opened up investigations about ufo's. They had to be investigating something.

Not in the popular sense, no. There are probably 'aliens' on another planet somewhere in the vastness of space, and if you see something flying in the sky and you don't know what it is, then it is by definition an Unidentified Flying Object. There are military "UFO's" being tested all the time, but most sightings are likely atmospheric phenomena, spotlights, or swamp gas from Venus.

Said best by the great Arthur C. Clarke:
"Either we are alone in the universe or we are not. In either case I find the concept staggering."
