Bellicheck can scheme against anybody anytime, as long as he has the players. One thing you're forgetting about all those greatle schemed defenses that stopped all those marvelous offenses was that he had amazing players on defense. Right now he has a couple good ones on his D, but it is way too banged up to do anything San Diego's offense. I think he would be better off shutting down the QB, which would shut down the WR's(where his D is lacking CB help) and give LaDainian what he will get; as long as it's not too much.

Yeah, Bellicheck will figure a way out. Remember what they did to the Vikes this year? They were rolling along pretty well. Then they played the Pats, and got declawed. On top of that , Billy boy showed the rest of the league what to do to them. He's pretty sharp like that. He is going to flood the middle, make LT go around the ends, and keep him close. He knows that if he makes Rivers win the game with his arm, he will have a pretty good day.

I think Belichek will have either Bruschi or Vrabel shadow LT because he is a threat to catch the ball and run also. I think Gates is going to have a big day but as long as the pass completions are for 10 and 15 yards I think Belichek will take that so Chargers will not go long to McCardell and the other receivers.
Remember LT had only 80 yards against the Jets two years ago in the playoffs.

Belichick can devise a plan to stop anyone it will just be how do the Chargers break the plan up but the real storyline is whether Philip Rivers can figure out the Patriots weak secondary weaknesses.

There's no slowing down the league MVP at home.
If you dare play a 8 man front and he catches one of those zip routes it's 6 points like in the Denver game.
You crowd the line with this guy you better make the tackle if he gets the ball.

Keep dreaming Patriot Fans , This is your year to go down.
You are Simply overmatched man to man no way does your
defense match up with theirs not in your wildest dreams.
You are also not playing in Foxboro . Actually they have a
better offense than you if you look at it objectively, I am
a neutral fan . Actually I really Believe the Ravens are going to win it all.
This year Bellicheck gets his a*** kicked. To clarify I think
The Baltimore Ravens are going to win it all this year..
take it to the bank

The scheme will be there but the execution must be done. LT can break a long one at any time. Gates could have a big game if the Pats try too hard to stop LT.

Yeah. He will put 8 in the box if he needs to, and let Rivers beat him in the air (he's not experienced enough). Next year, the Chargers will be by far the best team in the NFL, but for now, Belichick may escape with one.
That being said, if the Chargers win this weekend, no one will stop them.

If Warren, Willfork and Seymour carry the rush to Rivers on pass plays, the Patriots excellent linebackers will be able to bottle up the run. that leaves it all on the secondary. It's gonna be close, but I am hoping that the better coaching and experience of the Patriots can do it.

The eagles held LT to something like 17 yards rushing when they played last year. Belichik should watch that tape.
