"Old" hands down!!! Your hubby and mine think a like.My hubby works on cars for a living and he says the same thing,LOL So,it must be true.Older cars are easier to work on..And the best part...NO computers.Real carburetors..
We collect and restore old cars.My favorite is the 1965 mustang.hubby loves the 1957 Chevrolet.
We have a 1967 GT Mustang,1970 Monte Carlo.1971 ford pick-up,1971 camaro,1989 RS camaro[my toy,LOL] and just purchased a 1965 mustang..So, hubby and I are for the old cars. Can't beat them for durability and speed.

What does your hubby think is an "old" car? Grampa always liked the looks of the 1935 models, Dad prefered the late 40s styles, and I don't think they've made a good-looking car since 1958. I'm sure my son will never see a car as neat as a '75 Duster and my grandson will always want a 2020 flying car. And as for working on them - I gave up when I got a 1980 Buick and discovered I needed two swivels and an extension to reach one spark plug that was completely hidden behind the engine.

I'm used to the newer models now but when the new models started coming out in the early 90s I hated them...I love trucks and I hated the new designs on the Chevy S10, etc. but now when I look at the old boxy trucks, I think, what the hell was I thinking? I like the Ford F150s but when I see the new '06 (or maybe it's the '07 model? Not sure...) it has that boxy look to it and I don't like it...I guess I'm sticking with my '03 Ranger...lol

I like the older cars for visual appeal and sunday drives. I prefer the newer ones with more passenger comfort for daily drivers.

I prefer newer cars, too. They run better and look totally better. I haven't a clue upon why your hubby prefers older ones!

There's no right or wrong answer to this question!
There are beautiful older cars...especially some of the exotic or luxury cars that arguably look better than some of brand new cars.

Older...MUCH easier to work on...built better...more economical insurance and taxes...not as much gadgets to go wrong (ie power doors & windows)...in few years...older models...can become..."classics"...do this please...just lift the hood of an older model...side-by-side with a new one...compare...so much more "junk"..so little room...so many special tools needed...and the functions are the same...to go from point A to point B.
