My 03 Cavilier is showing a "PO171" trouble code fuel system too lean bank 1. Will this cause the car to not run/start. It was at times stalling but always restarted first turn of the key. Now it won't even run at all. No codes showed up until the car quit.

The fuel/air ratio is too little that is why u get a lean on bank one i am a ase cerified tech to correct to may need to look at the injectors fuel pump and relays abd check if they are bad

Give it a shot of starter fluid in the air intake if takes off, it is probably your fuel pump.
