I have just suffered a m/c at 7 weeks. I am worried this will reduce my chances of getting pregnant again. (I had to have a D and C as my body would not m/c on its own. The baby was proven dead by low HCG levels and an USS showing no fetal development). I would like some facts and advice please?

Sorry for your loss...I had a miscarriage around 14 weeks and had a D&C. I got pregnant 30 days later and now have a healthy happy 9 yr old son! Dont give up, it can happen sooner than you think. Good luck to you :)

The rate of miscarriage is very high. Around 20% of all pregnancies. There is nothing to be concerned with unless you are having late term or multiple (over three) miscarriages.. then they can do genetic testing to see if there is a problem or put you on an asprin regimine so your blood won't clot as much which causes fetal death

I have heard that it does, but by my personal experience, I dont really know. Best bet is to call ur doctor and ask them. Did they not tell you anything when you had your d and c?

it depends on why you miscarried if it is something hormonal or other with you maybe, but m/c's are common, so you may have just been one of us unfortunates.
