Jeez, first Gwen puts out a dumb yet likeable dance pop record, then Fergie copies it, and then Gwen copies the copy. Pop music is so bad right now, isn't it?

In a nutshell, yes. And the frustrating part to me is...the masses just eat it all up like they were all masterpieces of work...so the crap just keeps on coming.
Indie music is where it's at now....

The first time I heard Fergie's Fergalicious, I was so in awe of how terrible it was that I felt compelled to listen to the entire thing, just in case there was some redeeming quality to it at any point. However, after wasting my time listening to it, I felt that in doing so I had been greatly disrespectful of every artist or band throughout the history of music who has produced GOOD music.

I agree with you. Music's becoming like TV - the big media giant guys don't know what people will like, so they latch on to one thing that seems to be popular and then they imitate it over and over again and it gets worse each time. Easier than scouting around for real talent, or finding a somewhat original idea, I suppose.... ?

Everyone has their own opinoin on what good or bad music is. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean others don't find it to be good music, I personally think its good. I happen to love Fergie!

thank you, someone with a brain, it IS awful, i think the reason is cuz its all about style and image and NOT abut music. sure music is a visual art as well, i understand that, but the music is SO forgetable, theres NOTHING special about it at all
