i just got a new cabinet. its nice as everything but its not been painted or stained. before i could paint it something leaked on it. is there anyway to get that off before i paint it? ive tried a few things like cleaners. i dont want a stain to show through. it wont look nice

Iám assuming that this is a wood cabinet ,if so dry the stain with an hair dryer or heat gun,then sand it lightly and paint over.If the stain show through after a couple of coats,paint the cabinet the same color of the stain.

If you are going to paint it.
There is a primer called "Kilz" It's in a white can with big red letters KILZ.
I have never seen it fail to stop something from bleeding through and I've used it many times.
If you are going to stain it, that can be a bit tricky.
Is it wood veneer, solid wood?
What was spilled?
