Hello dear!
There are two main philosophies: the Chinese (Eastern) and the Greek (Western)!
Generally, there are 3 religion types: Mono-, Poly-, Eno- theistic!
The Eastern are Polytheistic. There are many (even millions) "gods" and deities. The result is in the formation of strong and long lasting empires, since the subjects are mainly concern for their salvation and inner peace!
From that point of view, all Eastern are relative - although among themselves they consider them very different!

I think Buddhism and Taoism have different paths, but both lead to the same "goal", which is the realisation that there is no goal.
