Well, I would agree for the most part. Folks from past generations were a bit more religious, which led them to be a bit more neurotic. All of those repressed feeelings kind of came out in the late 60's and society started to loosen up. And there is nothing wrong with opening your mind while staying true to your faith. It can be done. But I will say this. There is a difference between loosening up and being trashy. And in some forms of entertainment, as you mentioned above, the trash factor is there. Sex is natural, but it is not natural for it to be shown publicly on national TV. Remember that Hollywood really isn't the most moral place either. Alot of these producers go for the shock factor all the time simply to get the higher ratings. How many taboos can be broken before it gets to the point where nothing is shocking? I am not personally sure, but I think Hollywood sure is trying to find out.

It's called immorality and the promotion of sex and profanity in tv and magazine ads, the internet, the movies, etc. is erasing whatever little bit of morals and decency there is in society today. People are becoming more and more accepting of it because they see nothing wrong with it - the merely accept it as being 'ok'. In this day and age, speaking as a born again Christian that I am, sin is becoming more accepted to the point where sin is nonexistent, so any and all immorality is deemed as 'right' or 'ok'. Way back in the old days, there was etiquette, morals and decency - a rule of ethics that people lived by, but not today. Morals have gone by the wayside today as sin runs rampant. It's only going to get worse - not better.

back in the old days only trashy ignorant people do the things that are commonplace now. That may be saying something about this generation, and the last generation for allowing things like this to happen.

History repeats itself, the roaring 20's, the sexual revolution of the 60's, the independence of the 90's and now there are generations born into a world of extremes.
You can't even express yourself freely or your labeled a dem, a lib, a con or something without any open minded conversations any more.

Cultural and biological evolution take place in synchrony with one another. Naturally the older generation will find reason to differ with the younger ones.
The strangest thing is that you seem to be at odds with your own generation. I'm inclined to think you are joking.
When you say 'the old days', which old days are you referring to?? In the first and oldest days of all, we were all naked and accepted our natural state as it was. Surely the showing of more skin and the increasingly open minded attitude toward sex should be viewed as a positive thing??

I think the media has alot to do with it . They create sensationalism and get favorable ratings and then create more and the ratings go up again and it continues. While some people aren't even that thrilled with what they see the morbid curiosity gets the better of most of us. Then no holds barred because we get what they think we ask for.

Life is now all about Hollywood, money and entertainment. I now understand what all the old people said to me when I was a little girl, " What happen to the good ole days?" Now I find myself saying that more often that not.

you know who Satan the Devil is? Well, he is the called the "Prince of Darkness" who appears as an angel of light to mislead us imperfect humans. He has gotten us to believe that what is bad for us is actually good and vise versa. Because the Devil only has a short period of time to mislead everyone, his anger is so great that he is using any means necessary to turn their worship away from God. I wish that TV could go back to what it used to be too. have a great evening.

It seems as morals have changed so much in the last twenty years. Any woman who flashes her boobs onscreen suddenly wants to be called an actress.
