I think most people think the situation over before action. Like how to start and finish a daily project in a timely manner for example. As for emotional thoughts, if something should happen unexpectedly by surprise, and it is a happy something, most people would react by clapping their hands, jumping up and down with a squeal of delight, with out a thought. Or if it s a sad something, like bad news of some sort, most people would break down and cry or maybe get angry without giving it a thought.

I think it's hard not to initially react emotionally. But that's when you have to step back and actually think about it. As for doing things by routine, it's just easier that way for some people.

that is a great question,
for the most part I think ppl are comfortable in their routine, and although that dose not require thinking, it is when ppl have to very from the routine that the thinking is required, now lets not forget the children they all have to think everyday while in school, until they grow up and get in the routine

I think that most people act instinctively. Some people have greater control over their actions and behaviors, and are able to analyze a situation and weigh the pros and cons before acting or voicing their opinions. Other people are ruled by their emotions and their behavior reflects that. I think most people do think, but many of them don't think things through thoroughly until after they have already acted. It's all about self-discipline and self-control.

After reading some of the questions on Yahoo answers, I'm convinced that 90% of the people asking questions never think.

Some days I'm in such a rut that it requires no thinking at all. I call those days my I-Robot day. I hate those days. I want to be able to feel and react to things as they happen.

I think. And now that I've gotten older I'm a lot better at controlling my emotions.

Some people do until somebody tells them that they sound stupid, then maybe they will think before speaking. TRY IT!
