well my instructor charges £22 per lesson,i feel like he is just messing me about,i have to drive him around dropping his christmas cards off, then have to take him the toilet on every lesson(thats serious),so i'm paying £22 for a 45min lesson.i have cancelled my lessons with him and got a lesson with another instructor next wednesday, who only charges £19 a lesson,he got my nephew to pass after 35 lessons, which isnt bad, considering he's timid and never been behind a wheel before.the only advice i can give you,is ask around,go for a highly recommended instructor.

Hi,
Roughly it would cost around £20-£22 per hour or £37-£42 for a 2 hour One n the North West of England, I am unsure if it would be more expensive in London. It really does vary depending on your driving instructor. Trust me, I have been with 5. Don't judge, I do have my reasons behind it.
So basically some driving schools offer great deals for block lessons of 10 or 20, for example, My instructor charges £37 For two hours, £450 for 20 Hours which includes a driving test.
LDC Driving school did provide 5 Hours for FREE and then the normal rates.
Some schools when you start of give you a free hour etc..
Make sure you look around on google, Facebook, for good pass rates.
So people do say 30 hours Professional driving and 10-15 with someone you know is a good "Average"
But it generally is down to how you feel when driving, how easy you pick it up and how you feel overall.
I am not going to lie, I have had big breaks within my driving and that affected me and I have changed instructors a lot within the same driving school, and due to some other circumstances. But now I have found the one. I have had around 50 Hours, I am not ashamed to say it, but I generally feel more prepared for the test than a previous one.
It really does depend on the person and how determined you are etc..
Have fun if you are going to take them, " Take your time, be patient and Stick at it" :D x

When i did mine it was £20 for a manual car, but because i was a studnet i paid £18, usually automatic transmissions are cheaper, there are some for as little as £10 p/h.
Depends on how much and how well you drive to see how many lessons you need, usually its 24 hrs

without previous experience your looking at between 20 and 40 lessons depending on how well you pick it up.
depending on where you live and what company you use expect to pay between £18 and £25 per hours lesson.

17.00 GBP
if your only going out with a driving instructor possibly 40, my wife advised me today that`s how long it took a friend from her work.
otherwise if you can get a family member or friend to take you out, you will definitely be able to reduce the figure.
I managed to do mine some 20 years ago lol in 11 lessons. so I would recommend you taking the cheaper route if you can.

it would cost £20 per lesson) although if you're a student, you can get it for a couple of punds cheaper, also, you'd need 40 or so lessons (at least one a week) before you would be ready to take your test.

About £20 and you will need a mininum of 10. Best to take an intensive course where they guarantee to pass you.
