If you don't have a fax machine of your own, faxing is more expensive. If you have your own fax machine and are sending a local (ie: not long-distance fax), then mail is more expensive.

For intra-country faxing is usually cheaper, not to mention faster. International faxing costs can vary tremendously, whereas mailing costs are comparatively known and fixed. Last year it cost me $62.00 US to send two pages from the US to India. Evidently, my fax sat in a server somewhere for a half hour waiting to be delivered. During this time, the phone call meter continued to run!

Unless you can do it at work for free (ha ha) a fax is more expensive. Check out Fedex/Kinkos - it's highway robbery.
