No, our body get rest, but the brain still work. It memorizes all you did through the day. Or sometimes it remembers you what actually in the deepest of your heart, and sometimes those things are visualized by dreaming.

I was getting married to Marcel from top chef last night, and telling all the other contestants what jackasses they were. Gotta love those dreams!
