if you are using an electric shaver, try splashing your face with a pre-shave lotion. this will serve to raise the whiskers for a closer and less irritating shave.
if you're using any other kind of razor, throughly wash your face and let the soap rest for 1-2 minutes on your face. do your shaving and then apply a light layer of shaving cream to your face. rub the cream in thoroughly. this should solve the problem as you are lubricating/moisturinzing the areas impacted by the shaving.

OuCH! i Hate Razor Burn! i get it all the time dude! and yeah it sucks well what i do is put lotion on it and dont touch it or irritate it and it will go down i dont know how long exactly just dont bug it and have a great day!

get bikini zone its a cream to prevent razor burn it can be used anywhere its not only for the bikini area

try shaving only with the direction of hair, not against. Minimize the amount of times your shave one area.
