You will get a credit card, but a very high interest rate!
Work on raising your credit score!

You can, most likely with a high interest rate or a credit limit tied to a secured deposit, but if your credit is that bad, why would you want to make it worse? Obviously you are challenged by your current credit situation. You need to get it under control and practice a little self control before you take on more.

from personal experience, take my honest advice. If your credit score is 583..... DON'T GET A CREDIT CARD....
clean up your credit history. if you open a credit card, it will show as another open account in your credit. it doesn't look good to have many accounts open, specially if you're young (i'm guessing you are) don't go into credit cards they are dangerous!

If your credit score is 583...you don't need a credit card. You need to clean up your debt and learn to live on a cash basis! Check out www.daveramsey.com and get yourself into a class called Financial Peace University. It will change your life. We paid off $42,000 in debt in 3 years and now don't owe on anything except for our house. We pay cash for EVERYTHING or we don't buy it! If you'll live like nobody else...then later on...you'll live like nobody else. Don't be normal....normal is either broke or two paychecks away from broke in America!

Try first premier mastercard.
http://www.firstpremier.com/
I got a card from them a month out of a bankruptcy a few years ago and it helped me build my credit and now I'm a home owner.
Good Luck

why do you need one. at 583, you should be saving cash, not trying to get more credit. :)
