You don't have to give me the answer, if you can just write out what you need to do, i would be greatly appreciated.

Let's call the angle X

The complement of X would be 90-X. (Complementary angles total 90 degrees.)

The supplement of X would be 180-X. (Supplementary angles total 180 degrees.)

Does that help?

lets follow the above answer with an example

If the unknown answer was, say 60, then 5 times the complemnt would be 150 (5 x 30) while 2 times the supplement would be 240 (2 x 120) got the idea?

You can now develop a quick equation where the result of 5 x complement = 2 x supplement and you will know the angle.

ok??

5(90-x) = 2(180-(90-x))
450-5x = 2(90+x)
450-5x = 180+x
-5x-2x = 180-450
-7x = -270
x = -270/-7
x = 38.57
to get the supplement,
180-38.57=128.57*
128.57=supplement.
