Usually, there is something called "resume receiving period" (about two weeks normally), after which there is one day in which the best resumes are chosen and the candidates are called to the interview. But this is as an usual thing. You might as well call the company to check, let's say.... "I want to send you my resume. When is the last date you receive them?"

Good luck!

If you faxed it, it would be wise to call and make sure that the hiring manager actually received it. Then you can ask when they are looking to start interviewing.

Then if you don't here from them by the time they start interviewing, fax them your references, and call the next day to see if they received them.

By this point they have touched your resume at least 3 times. At that point you will either get a call, or be out of the running.

Good luck

If you faxed your resume unsolicited, don't expect a call back.

I suggest contacting the HR department and asking how you can find out about open positions and start there. Applying for a specific position that they have open will get you a call back.

Sending your resume unsolicited will assure your resume hits the bottom of the garbage can.

I would wait a few days maybe 3-4 and then call to inquire.

The way it works if they are interested, they will call you Or they may never call, follow. Keep sending them out and one day you just might get lucky and get that call.
