Anything you spray with deet can be harmful to an infant, depending on the age. There are screens/ mesh for cribs and for strollers/ prams ( I guess it depends what country you are in huh!) Avon sells "skin so soft" that keeps the mosquitos away and wouldn't be harmful to you little one.
Also, check all around your yard for possible breeding gounds. Dump all standing water or pour bleach in it. try not to take baby out from dusk till dawn when they are more active.

what is a mozzie? Mosquitos?

Dress the child ib clothes that cover most of his/her body (long sleeves, pants) and try a childsafe bug repellant.

Oh and depending on the age and tastes of the child, alot of garlic in the diet helps. Mosquitos don't like the smell. Works for me and I am allergic to the little buggers

The what? Do you mean mosquitoes?

You can't use mosquitoe spray if the baby is under 6 months. I wouldn't suggest using it untill they lose the fixation of eating their hands, otherwise the spray will end up in their mouth. The only thing I can suggest is only take them outside with long sleeves and pants. Keep them covered and out of infested areas.

I think repellent is not too good for baby, because it can be licked and very harmful.
Before my baby sleep, i wash all over her body by Dettol liquid mixed with warm water so that she feel fresh. After that I pour baby powder on her body and wear her clothes that cover all of her body. After she sleeps for about 30 mnts, then I give her (only on face) Johnson clear lotion (it is very safe for age under 1 yo), and turn on the electric mat for mosquitoes. I think this is safer than others.

There are personal repellents that you can buy that you just hook to your clothing, but in the meantime, try hanging a bounce dryer sheet near the baby.
