No, at least give her the 1st meal for free! After that, you guys can take turns paying.

I dont think that women should help pay on the first date, especially if the guy asked her out.But then i have limits too. If a guy buys her dinner and a dessert, and then you guys go somewhere else and she ask you for more food or something i would look at her like she was crazy, but most girls are shy on the first date and most likely she'll insist on paying. What this really means is"you are so sweet but lets see if you're just saying this to impress me" if she does say this then you should say something like no, i insist let me pay for it, then she'll think that you're really sweet and maybe she'll even think that you guys could be in a relationship. just try it.But also dont be forcefull, then she'll think that you may be controll freak. and let me tell you women only like that to a certain extent, i say just go with the flow and if she is really a nice girl she'll most likely ask to pay for it.Ps. dont try to be flashy either, like if you do pay for it dont pull out a handful of money unless you know that she is not a golddigger, because after that all she'll see from you is dollar signs. I hope this is helpful to you

That's what I think myself.
I know many women out there that use the reasoning "Well, he should pay for everything, that shows he's really interested".
I use the same reasoning. Is she really interested in me and taking a date seriously, or is she just going to go through the motions just because she's going to get a free night out? I've known many women who will say yes to a date just to go out and already knew they weren't interested in the guy beyond a "free night out".
I think it should be a balanced effort from both parties. If a women thinks all she has to do to contribute is her saying "Yes", then that's a bit egotistical and unfair.
Now later on if it becomes an ongoing dating/ relationship, then it's nice for one or the other to pay for both every once in a while, but it shouldn't be expected nor demanded.

Yes. It shows that a girl isn't only interested in the guys finances and that she has some financial stability of her own. I'm not saying that women should pay all the time, but if a relationship is supposed to be 50/50 then I don't see why women can't pay for a meal or two.

For me if a girl offers to help pay its a nice jester but don't try it again cause thats not how it works. I'm old school. Now if your just a free loader looking for a good time well then you better cough up but I haven't dated a free loader in years so its all good.

My bf was in a tight spot, and I offered. I don't worry too much about money. I just hope he's right...
but you know, the rule is that who ever asked the person out has to pay...

perhaps. just go with the flow. If it's a really cheap date, then you will look cheap if there is any awkward moment where you ask her to pitch in. As a girl I would pay for the next date though.

Heres my theory if the guy asks you out- he should pay but you should offer the tip. If you asked him out you should at least pay your half! A real man will tell you dont worry about it, i got this.
