Cannot we treat each other in a kind way anymore? Or is there too much hurry, confusion and fight everywhere? Everybody would like to win alone? Any more feelings of togetherness? Too hard to live today?

Ever hear the saying "Smile and the world smiles with you cry and you cry alone" never truer words said. You obviously live in London, it is a sad and lonely place if you don't smile and not many do. I love London because I smile a lot and everybody wants a bit of sunshine so I get to talk to lots of people its great. Even on the tube, I laugh at people who bury their heads in books or who look straight ahead. No-one knows their neighbours its very sad. Be kind to everyone especially the tramp you cross the street to avoid remember he was somebody's son once, and you never know one day by a quirk of fate that could be you too one day. That's the trouble with the world now, its all me, me, me and bugger the rest.

They can and they do. My parents bought me up to be a kind person and they succeeded, I am always kind to other people, I cannot remember the last time that I was not kind. A smile and a "Hello" cost nothing, yet they can mean so much to some one else.The offer to baby-sit for a young mum so that she can go out for the evening, makes a real treat for her. You will be surprised how many really kind people there are, they are not hard to find either.

of course a person can be kind if they want to, i think the main problem is taht kindness is not recognised in the correct way anymore, take what happened as i was leaving the doctors this morning as an illustration of what i mean. an elderly gentleman held the door open for a chav'd up pregnant teenager, instead of saying thankyou she looked him up and down and said "pervert" and strutted off leaving me fuming- kind acts should be recognised and everyone would be better off x

Yes you can. There are so many types of people just a smile can sometimes be the one thing someone else is looking for. If we all act that way maybe there would be less wars and more forgiving and learning and listening then fighting.

i think in general people are just to selfish which is a shame as i am sure all of us could be just a little kinder to each other if everyone was nice to at least one person the world would be a better place

and cameron got up my nose with his 'it's not what your country can do for you, think what you can do for your country'
get real
he may be able to afford care for his older relatives and handicapped children, but not the majority of people in the real world
maybe all of us in england should vote to be part of scotland they seem to have better care arrangements for our elderly and handicapped.
