Attendance will DEFINITELY go up!!! That's a guarantee. If LA is the dominant team in the league, then TV networks will be all over the glamour of having Beckham in the league and you'll see more coverage of the MLS... even if the only games they show are LA Galaxy games.

no it won't i think that the fact that the fact that Beckham is going to play in the MLS will not have a very big effect on soccer in the US. The only thing that will grow is Beckham's fan base of women

Doubtful. Beckham is a falling star and people in LA don't follow sports very well, it's unlikely they'll take to soccer just because of him. And it's LA so the celebrity power of Beckham and Posh isn't anything special to them.

You betcha, look at how many follow golf now that Tiger is on the tour. Beckham is a phenom and he'll fill stadiums.

Andy you might have a point but then again.... i know a **** load of Italian Americans that suddenly started to LOVE soccer during the World Cup because of how good Italy was playing so u never know

Yea I think so. It might not be the most significant amount, but I definitely think it'll get more people to look and check into it and stuff. I think with his marketability he'll get it made known or better said, he'll help make people aware of its existance. Hopefully by bringing him here he will help the fan base grow, which would be totally awesome.
