too many fish in one tank and use up the oxygen is way you have to keep the tanks full and change 2/3 the water every now and then they try to adapt

Yes, they certainly do.
The beginning of the adaptation is evidenced by them floating upside down. The conclusion of the adaptation is generally accompanied by a flush.

I'd say no. A fish needs it's oxygen to breathe, just like I need oxygen to breathe!

I dont know but they do have a 5 second memory compacity.
