Very interesting question!! Of course, Victor Frankenstein was the brain child of Mary Shelley, Percy Bysshe Shelly's wife, but I never thought of connecting the two. Frankenstein was a radical thinker, just as P.B. Shelley was, and was willing to go against all of society to achieve his dreams, again just like Shelley. Frankenstein was a creator and wanted the god-like power to bringing life to an inanimate object. That's very similar to what a writer does, bringing new thoughts to life in his readers. Shelley's poems expressed a longing for ideal love, just as Frankenstein longed for his creation to love him. Most of all, Victor Frankenstein saw the lives of those around him damaged by his actions. Shelley's pursuit of ideal love led to his first wife's death and estrangement between his second wife's (Mary's) family and his own.

at the same time as Prometheus stole hearth for guy, it meant that guy changed into trespassing on immortal territory. Which turned right into a huge no-no and ended in Prometheus having his liver eaten out each and every evening for something of eternity. ok, so Victor didn’t have an organ ripped violently from his decrease torso each day. yet he did struggle through an same kind of prolonged torture (imagine of all his loved ones being singled out and killed).
