In my opinion, you need to get you a good lawyer who has experience in divorce proceedings. You need to be on top of this....seems like he wants a divorce. I think he'll get a divorce from you one way or another. So the best thing you can do is get a GOOD attorney who will sock it to him. If he wants his freedom, make him pay through his nose. I wish you only the best of luck.

Sorry, no one can answer that without knowing where you live. Abandonment is grounds for divorce, yes, but there are conditions on it and one of those is usually that it be for a minimum amount of time, like a year or more.

Your jurisdiction may allow no-fault divorce, where you don't have to prove something like abandonment. all you have to prove is that the parties agreed to end the marriage and have been separated for a certain amount of time, usually a year.

So some web research on the topic of "Divorce Laws in (state)."

well you could try to prove that you were where you say you was. but just let me say this. It sounds to me like he was looking for a reason to get a divorce. It sounds like he has made up his mind. You could try to talk to him but i would be making some plans from this point on so you will be prepaird.Get you a lawyer.

Anyone who wants a divorce can get one, they don't have to have
a reason ..."irreconsilable differences"...
Only one party has to want the divorce...
You can divorce someone whether or not they agree to it...

only if you had abandoned him for a certain period of time. it differs with different states. but obviously he doesnt want to be married to you in the first place for whatever reason. leave and move on and don't try to push a relationship on him that he doesn't want. you have better things to do with your time.
