One piece of advice I've consistently gotten is not to try to hard, How is that possible?? Between using my clearblue easy fertility monitor and drinking green tea and taking evening primrose oil and prenatals I can't help but to think about it a lot. I want to be pregnant so bad but how do I "relax" and not worry about it..seems impossible to me!! We've been trying for 4 months and although I'm not as worked up as the first couple months I feel a deeper longing for a baby now. How do I relax and let it happen??

Stop with the teas and the monitors. Just make love and enjoy it. I have been pregnant 4 times (3 children and 1 on the way) and with only 1 was getting pregnant difficult. We tried for well over 18 months. Then we got some news that my hubby had be overexposed to a chemical at work. We were devastated and didn't think we could get pregnant again. We started making love again to be with each other. To enjoy each other. To fulfill each other. The next month we found out we were pregnant! It really is amazing how just relaxing and enjoying hubby can make it happen. Good luck and baby dust.

If you're monitoring your fertility and eating a special diet you're definitely "trying hard". If you're really longing for a baby I can see how it would be hard to just relax. I've gotten pregnant easily but it was never "we're trying to have a baby". It was "a baby would be nice" or "i wouldn't mind having a baby". When people asked was I trying to have a baby, I answer I wasn't trying not to. So I think that is what most people mean when they say don't try too hard. Make love for the purpose of making love, and don't do anything that would prevent you from becoming pregnant. Adopt the mentality that while I want to have a baby, that's not the purpose of lovemaking, but a very welcomed bonus. That's much more enjoyable and less stressful than having sex to make a baby. Keep taking the vitamins and green tea though because they are beneficial (pregnant or not), and if nothing has happened in a year see a fertility doctor.

It is not easy to do, I would take a relaxing trip with your man to get away from the whole making baby situation and just let go, most people conceive on the days they are not expecting it. Stress can cause your hormones to be way out of wack, try this please, BEST OF LUCK.

I tried & tried (BBT charts, vitamins, positions, scheduled sex...etc.) for 6 months to get pregnant. We decided to stop trying because conceiving at that point was going to interfere with some travel plans (Europe, baby!)... We got dunk a couple weeks later (me & my hubby) had sex in a hot tub of all places! Whammo...3 weeks later PREGNANT. (You guessed it no trip to Europe. The trip fell on my due date.) It is good to take care of your self & prepare but stop "STRESSING". Stress does harm to your body. It is kind of like you are counteracting all the good that you are doing! Have fun sex. Try without trying! Most people who ingage in unprotected sex with find themself pregnant with in a year! HAVE FUN!!!!!
