Third Day out of Georgia.

They've stayed true to their original style - southern rocklike, still have the original five members - after all these years - about 12 or more as I recall. Are consistent performers and continue to grow both as artists and christians.

They give a portion of their proceeds to church work - including such items as raising money to help send Christmas gifts overseas to other countries.

And on the music side - read their lyrics, listen to them... they pull no punches on the gospel message while avoiding theology. They bring Jesus to the people, inviting those who listen to enter in- their concerts are really big church services.

And finally - they are really, really good musicians. You gotta love Mac Powell's vocals. (and he plays the guitar left handed too)

Third Day would be the only band I'd consider going to see if they came within 100 miles of my town. I've even looked for ways to bring them to my town - but they are on tour for about the next year.

Well I have quite a few actually. I like Casting Crowns, Tree 63, Superchick, Mercy Me, and a whole lot more but I just can't think of them now. LOL! I also like Aly and A.J. but they are not a band they are just a group. The reason I like these bands is mainly because they are Christian.

I don't know if they are considered a band because they don't play all of their own instruments, but I love DC Talk. There music is diverse and meaningful. They have a song for every mood I have and they are inspiring to me.

Someone told me Chevelle was Christian, but that's not the reason why I like them. I like hard rock, and they just happen to fall under that category.
