One of my best friends was pregnant and she didn't know until she was like 3 months, then she decided that she didn't want the baby and was going to put it up for adoption. She did not have an ultrasound until she was 8 &half months!!! I was the one who made her go for it and when she did she found out some very sad things about her child. In her second trimester the baby had a stroke. When Anna Alice was born she was blind, couldnt swallow and deaf. She also had a serious condition(i dont know what it was called). My friend decided to keep the baby in the end because she just couldnt part with her. Anna Alice died at three weeks of age... She really regrets not having an ultrasound from the start and realises what she did was a really stupid thing to do.

I got an ultrasound with my first two and have one scheduled in a month for my third.

I wouldn't refuse one because it helps them determine everything is okay. They take a lot of measurements and can also give you a more accurate due date.

If you don't want to know the gender of the baby, you can ask them to not tell you.

yes i have had many ultrasounds considering my first child had a birth defect and i have been pregnant 4 times. i miscarried one of them. no i have never refused an ultrasound. i find them to be rather exciting because i love to see my little baby in my womb and i find it even more exciting when you are finding out the sex for the first time.

I have had many ultrasounds during my pregnancy, thanks to knowing the Dr. personally. They are so neat and fun to see your little one in the womb. It's really good to see how the baby is progressing. I would never refuse an ultrasound.

i have had a ultrasound with all two. I would never refuse one because it gives them the information they need. Not only that it's really cool.

well i do kno that i had an ultrasound and i was going to refuse it but then my hubbie told me if we didnt there could be birth defects or problems and well you can see if theres problems when you see your baby. and it makes you truely feel happy and well you can see your baby growing inside of you and thats the absolute best feeling you can have. except that first touch or the first cry of your little on

Ultrasounds give important information. If something is wrong with baby doctors NEED to know before delivery. So they can be ready for whatever needs to be done. Or incase there is some risk to your health. I URGE you to have one...

I was a military Dependent and they only have you have an ultra sound if you really need it, so they wouldn't give me one when I asked. I ended up going to an outside company and getting one of those 3D ultra sounds. It was great , my son is 8 years old now and he still watches that video of when he was in mommy's tummy! It's a really nice memento of your pregnancy.

Why would you refuse one, you get to see that your baby is developing on time and correctly... I have had two done and each time i was so happy it brought tears to my eyes (something i had thought only happens on TV)

HI, I NEVER REFUSE ONE BECAUSE THEY CAN TELL YOU THAT YOUR BABY IS DOING FINE OR NOT. YET A ULTRASOUND THAT WAY YOU KNOW EVERYTHING IS GOING ALL RIGHT.
