What interests you?
Sorry but I'm a big advocate for writing what *you* want to write, not what you think the teacher or other people will like.
For example, one of my research paper topics was the Spanish Inquisition, which was something like writing a horror story (if that interests you, do that, as it's kinda fun in a disturbing sort of way)...except for the Monty Python quotes....
So yea just find something you like so it's fun for you.

I had to do a 6-8 paper on someone is our history text book and I choose Ben Franklin and electricity. I also included the people that Ben Franklin had influence on or the ones that influenced him in my essay. Make sure you include details in your paper. I got an A on that. Now for this literature class...for me to start on my 3 page paper analyzing literature....how boring....
