Yes! I used to hate going home because my brother was there. He was awful to my mother, and she let him abuse her, I never understood why she let him do that, until after she died and we found out that my brother was from some guy she slept with in town, apparently he knew the secret, and he used it against her. He eventually ended up in jail, what for we never found out, but he lives in CA now. (I hope he stays there!) It was terrible living in the same house and not being able to do anything about it.
If you can, try to talk to someone, anyone you feel is a friend, about this. You need to have someone who is out of the situation to touch base with.
If there is abuse in your household, don't be dumb like I was, report it! Find a way to prove it, tape it, record it, take pictures, anything you can, but report it and get yourself out of there! Anything is better than living with abuse, it eventually gets worse, and being alive in a bad situation is better than being dead. You can always find a way out if you try hard enough. You just have to be smart about it, and willing to put up with a lot to be free. If he is violent, watch your back and leave first, then report him.

That has happened to me when I used to live with my parents. I absolutey refused to go home, and ended up staying over at different friends houses, and eventually child welfare (a.ka children protective services) and I moved out.
