I recently installed IE 7 and now certain websites ie. myspace, hi-5, will not come up. All I get is "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" Any ideas?????

download firefox -- from www.mozilla.com -- its awesome and works so much better than ie - plus you can custimize the colors and everything - it rocks! I switched and have never looked back

This is from the release notes for IE&7:

Accessing websites that only work with Internet Explorer 6-- Some websites host pages that are hard coded to read the User Agent string, and only accept the value for Internet Explorer 6. You can temporarily appear to the website that you are using Internet Explorer 6 by using the User Agent Utility. The tool will create an instance of Internet Explorer 7 that emulates Internet Explorer 6. Other instances of Internet Explorer 7 will not be affected.

You can download the User Agent Utility from Microsoft to fool these websites into believing you are using IE6. Here's where to get it...

You can try using this utility and see what happens. You might want to make a restore point first, just in case:-)

Explorer 7 does not support some older html tags. Try Firefox - seems to be the browser of choice for my company's PC IT department.

I use Mozilla Firefox and I don't have any problems. I always had probs with IE. Try Firefox. You can download it for free.

Hit the refresh button, and if that doesn't work than you'll have to investigate your internet settings.
