Stuff is plural: All my stuff. One thing isn't stuff, it's just an item, and object. You can't use stuff in the singular- it can only be plural.

No, stuff implies a plural in and of itself. Stuffs is just a verb. Yeah, that's the word, a collective noun. Give her the points for it.

Stuff is a collective noun. It has no plural form.
There is an old word "foodstuffs" not much used now.

No, stuff isn't really a word, but if it was, it's already plural. "Can you hand me that stuff?" You wouldn't ask that if you only wanted one thing.

Stuff can itself be plural as it can apply to more than one genus or kind of thing.
On the other hand if one wishes to emphasise the fact that it applies to more than one genus, then it's quite appropriate to use "stuffs."
For example "foodstuff" can apply to many different kinds of food, but be used because you don't wish to distinguish between the different sorts. It doesn't matter whether the food is any one variety of made up of hundreds of different varieties.
On the other hand if you use "foodstuffs" you're doing so to draw attention to the fact that there is more than one variety of food involved.

Actually it is. Eg "foodstuffs". Stuff refers to an unknown quantity of, well, stuff. But, if you refer to more than one quantity of "stuff", then it is "stuffs". (Beware, "stuff" can also be a verb, as in "we stuffed you!")
I have just read all the other answers since typing my own, and I am happy to say that you are more enlightened than all of your other respondees! "Stuff" most certainly IS a word, and a proper one at that! (And I am not a redneck!)
