Absolutely. No team, not the Canadians, Russians, Americans, Finns, Swedes or any other has the rich tradition of world-class level hockey than Pakistan does.
The current edition of Pakistan's national hockey team looks to be yet another powerhouse. Reserve their place on the top of the medal podium.

If there are Pakistani-Canadian players (hey, Italy had Italian-Canadians play for Italy last Olympics), and coached by a former NHL coach like Pat Quinn, they have a shot...1 in 100, that is. And the next Winter Olympics is in 2010, not 2008.

Pakistan have always been a world power in field hockey so yes it is possible. Do not overlook India, The Netherlands and Australia. All will all be world class opponents.
