Sore throat is much worse, because it is painful to talk, eat, drink or to speak. Runny nose are just disgusting because you have to keep blowing your nose and reaching for a tissue.

Sore throat cause sometimes it's not just sore - it feels swollen and gurgly (if there is such a word) or sometimes it feels like you are swallowing a gazillion tiny knives and nothing seems to kill the pain. A runny nose - oh well, carry tissues and resign yourself your nose will be red and for important things just use sudafed or benadryl to dry it up short term!

Sore throat. It hurts to speak and to swallow. Plus, those sore throat drops don't seem to work and they taste awful.
