Is there any way to better the cosmetic appearance of Pectus Excavatum without surgery. And how old will this have to take place cause am 18 years old now and I need to know if there is any chance of bettering it without surgery?

Surgery is the only way to repair it, but you know what? I wouldn't worry about it. Why do you want it fixed? If you think the opposite sex won't be attracted to you, that isn't true. I don't know you but if you are a sweet guy, no one is going to care about the deformity.

I'm a nurse. I would see a doctor to see. But I personally feel that surgery would be best for you. I have had many surgeries (plastic surgery too) and was OK. If you are concerned about payment, they have payment plans these days. I know this is hard for you, but do what you feel is best. I would call and schedule an appointment to ask your doctor about other options available.

under my pecs my chest actually goes inwards quite a bit. my friends told me that i can go to the doctor and they would put a bar and make it come out.

No, surgery is the only option. It is a skeletal deformity. They only do surgery on it if it is bad enough to impair your breathing or heart function.

Deal with it.
