If you're concerned about you outside faucets from freezing, trace them back in your basement and see if they have a dedicated shut-off. If so, shut them off, and then go open your outside faucet (to drain out any existing water from the faucet fixture). If you don't have shut-offs, most chain DIY stores sell foam hats to insulate your faucet from the cold. Push-come-to-shove, wrap the faucet in an old towel and wrap a plastic bag over that, securing it tightly and ensuring no part of the faucet is exposed to the outside air.

the valve that keeps the water from moving to the outside of the faucets is 12 inches inside the wall were its warm you shouldn't have to worry about them freezing..at least i never have its been -0 to 26+ here at night for weeks heck it hasn't even got up to 30 during the day.. this is a very mild winter and my outside faucets are not even on my mind

yes and also increas your waterbill becuse wter will freeze if not moving fast enough plus u will develope ice outside on the ground so u decide now check 4 the main valve and drain also u can get a heat tape and put on them that would be best if u cant drain go to lowes or home depot they will help u out they will know the area better in wich u live in . good luck
