he couldn't come back to England for fear of some Real criticism.

I don't know if the world of football has gone mad now that David Beckham is getting paid $250 million over 5 years, but it is obvious that the owners of the MLS LA Galaxy must be deranged for giving it to him.
Really, can you blame the man? What person in their right mind would turn down that kind of money? If someone were to offer you that kind of money to play a game, you would do the same. In fact, I would sign the contract in blood.
The LA Galaxy do know that they are a soccer team in the US where soccer is WAY down in the pecking order for the entertaiment dollar don't they? LOL

He obviously hasn't gone for footballing reasons. The US is the only place he isn't really famous so hes gone to raise his profile there. I feel sorry for the boys having to move 3 times in 5 years to totally different countries and cultures. Theres more to life than money, they have enough anyway.
