I failed my drivers test for the second time, (only by one question, which is such a bummer.) My boyfriend and a whole lot of my friends know that I took it, as I asked them to wish me good luck. I am going to a party on saturday, where they will all be. My mum recons that I should lie to my boyfriend, and say that I cancelled it, and am sitting it at a later date, because I might look stupid. I recon I should do that with my friends. If they are all asking how I went, I would be getting too much sympathy. But I don't know about lieing to my boyfriend. I don't agree with lieing in a relationship. Please, mature answers only, I don't want to read about rude comments.

Dont lie to your bf...say that you almost had it and you were off by one question.

I dont think you should lie and there is nothing stupid about failing a drivers test twice. actually, it is quite normal for a person to fail the first and second time. My friend failed it twice, My cousin has taken it three time, my other cousin five times - my brothers failed it twice.. and so did my mother. I was actually one of the only people in my family who passed it on the first time - and it had i missed one question, i would have had to take it over again as well. You are not stupid for failing it twice - you are like the majority of society.. Dont worry about it, and dont lie. it would be a very petty lie if you did, and if your boyfriend found out the truth (and they always do) he would probably wonder why you lied about such a stupid thing..

Its okay, tell the truth, and you pass the test when you are good and ready to pass the test. Dont let people pressure you.

Truth; no need to fib about something that is not a life or death situation. You're on the right track to stick with the truth. Your Mom has your feelings first in mind, but sometimes, a person just has to take a deep swallow, and march forward - with the Truth.

What is it the Bible says "...and the Truth will set you free".

Just take the test over again. No big deal. Not the end of the world!

Don't lie. I RECKON you should tell the truth to your boyfriend and your friends because LYING to them is deceitful, and why would you want to deceive the people you care for the most and should care for you too. If you question their loyalty over a little test, what kind of friends can they really be?

lying may get you ahead temporarily... but it's always best to tell the truth.

who cares if you look stupid? your friends and boyfriend won't think that about you because they love you. if they do think badly about you... then they really aren't friends you want to have around anyway.

you'll pass your driver's test soon. it's NORMAL to flunk it a couple of times. and then when you do pass, you and your boyfriend will have even more of a reason to be happy and celebrate because he will know how much you really worked for it. =)

Tell him and your friends the truth babe.. If you lie now and get away with it, you'll be forever lying to him in the future. Nobody will give a T@ss whether you passed or not...Enjoy the Failed party and look foward to the passed one...

If your boyfriend really cares about you, he shouldn't care if you failed your driving test, tell the truth, and if he gets mad at you for it, he's not the one for you. Hell, you could even tell your friends, the worst thing that could possibly happen is they make fun of you, but I'm sure you'd get over that, and then you'd all have something to laugh about at the party.

it's only ur 2nd test, I don't think it's a big deal. How was ur bf's reaction when you failed the first one?...

You should be honest with him. Lies in a relationship..is not good.. Start lying once, and it will happen again.

Talk to him. Does he drive?...maybe he can go though the book with you..!!

BEST OF LUCK

HONESTY is always the best policy. What mother teaches their child to lie? I am glad that you think lying is wrong because, honey, no matter how you slice it, lying will only lead you into trouble. What if he wanted you to try out your new license and drive only to be in an unavoidable accident. What would he think?

Tell him the truth, you'll just have to cover it up later and you could mess up the lie eventually. Plus if he truley cares about you it wont matter!
