how accurate are sonograms at determining the sex of a baby at 17 weeks? like 90%? 75%? 50%?

They told me it is a boy, and i got a "clear" shot- from the butt between the legs, but before i guy the blue paint i want to know howats the chance it is wrong.

varies. with one of mine multiple clear crotch shots looked like a boy. she is most definately not a boy.
and no chance of a baby mix up, no other girls born that day, she never left my side, she looks just like me

it really depends-if your baby is in the right position a trained u/s tech can tell pretty accurately if its a girl or boy.
doctors usually schedule only one 'big' ultrasound to find out the sex- so 20+ weeks is when the u/s tech can tell & when they can get baby moving around inside to the correct position to see.

I had to have a u/s done at 16 weeks and the girl said there was no way she'd be able to tell.
the baby wasnt developed enough to 'guess' correctly.

They were a 100% with both of mine but I also went with my gut which agreed.

It depends on how much was visible. You'd have to ask the tecnician.

i would say 50%. I think you are move about six months when you are able to tell.
