Try the state website (NOT updated regularly...but you should check there first.) state.tn.gov or something like that.
If it's not on the website or in newspaper archives, you may have to get court records (assuming it went to trial.) Since it's about a child, if you're not directly involved, you won't get confidential information about minors. You might get some info on the abuser, like if he/she is a registered sex offender, or if he/she got convicted.
Since it's about children, you'll probably only get a little info from files. Unless you have a good reason to dig and a close relationship to the child/abuser, you're not going to find out much.

They are minors. You can't get records with info on minors unless they are requested by the court.

unless its public record you cant....if it involves a minor child then the record is sealed....however if you are the parent or gaurdian and attorney may be able to request them for you but youd have to have a very good reason to have them

this is all pretty confidential and those records are generally not released unless there is a court ordered allowing you to see them. if they are your family's files, you might be able to request it but good luck
