Do they stay this way for the rest of this way for the rest of thier lives?

Off the top of my head, i can think of some. Here's a quick list

Lions: Young males that don't have access to females yet resort to homosexuality

Ducks: Well, it is assumed that many ducks do that, but it has only been observed in one species. They go as far as necrophilia and gang rapes too. Now that I think of it, homosexuality has been observed in many kinds of birds

Chimps: Yep, our closest cousins do it to.

Dolphins: Yes, the smartest kids in town too.

beetles, sheep, fruit bats, dolphins, and orangutans

it can go on for quite a while...scientists are studying this question
