I would give it a month, maybe two. By then the total excitement of her engagement will have gone (still exciting, but everyone will have heard the news and it won't be on people's minds as much). If you two are really ready to get engaged, don't put it off too long just because she just got engaged, but I think one or two months would be nice if possible. And then it will be her time to shine again very soon after, since she's getting married in the summer :) Congrats to you both...

You need to be dating him for at least 12-18 months before you start considering marriage. It's much too soon to be talking about it. The thunder will pass in about a year.

id be pissed if i was engaged then my boyfriend asked his girlfriend. plus theres always a chance that he wants to get engaged cuz his sister did and would maybe like the attention himself. not to take his sisters away but to get the same kid of attention later on
