i just bought a all in 1 printer scanner and copier with a fax on it
do i need a seperate phone number to use the fax to send things?

No, you would use the same line, and connect it, as you would your phone.

As you go thru the setup routine, your all in one will guide you thru the appropriate settings to send and receive faxes automatically.

there is not any better value till you want a dedicated telephone line. it would want to share the line such as your telephone and also be an answering gadget. often you could set them to p.c.. up on the fourth ring. in case you answer the phone and pay interest to a gadget there's a range you press to move it to the FAX. If the fax solutions once you're literally not homestead it would note of the fax gadget tone and both get carry of a fax or list the voice.

No. Most of the All in one Multifunction machines should have two plugs one input and one output for the phone lines. (they are the size of the phoneline connectors)

You can hook one to the Jack and the other to the Phone set you want to use the same phone line with.

Of course, if you don't want to use the same phone numbers for both functions you can always get another phone line to serve it's purpose. Hope it helped you. Good luck.

no but it will interfere everytime you use the fax machine,some are automatic and some are manual answer

NO IF YOU HAVE ANSWERING MACHINE SET IT TO ANSWER IN 4 RINGS AND FAX WILL ANSWER IN 6 RINGS.AT LEAST THAT'S HOW MINE WORKS

If you use VOIP it might not work as a fax line, fyi.
