Actually, it was a few days ago. It's the day in the year when more divorce proceedings are started than at any other time. People reckon it's because couples in unhappy relationships finally snap during the christmas holidays, and then start legal proceedings a little while later.

Yes, it is- but I'm not sure of the protocol. Are you supposed to buy a gift for your ex? Or are you supposed to finally get up the courage to break up with someone you haven't liked for a while? It's probably just another stupid, made-up holiday designed to make pathetic, lonely women with 87 cats a little less suicidal in anticipation of Valentine's Day. Now they can gather with their sad little friends and cackle victoriously over one wine cooler too many about all the losers they are thankful for having dumped. Hooray for the holiday maker-uppers!!!!!!
