Oh my gosh, yes it did! It's a little known fact its one of the deleted scenes from the episode with the Tribbles. He was beamed aboard the Enterprise completely bald! Thinking quickly, Bones grabbed one of the Tribbles and placed it on Kirk's head. No one was the wiser.

Kirk also shaves his chest hair.
