You should take Aleve a few days before your period. If you know more or less when your period starts, take Aleve the few days before it. It prevents them because once you have them, you can't really do much to get rid of them. The point is the prevent before you get them.

You should drink alot of Fluids. Stay active paly sports. Take tylenol or even better a medicine for period pain.

Esther is right. My doctor told me to start taking ibuprofen a few days before my period started. It works!

Midol always does it for me and a Thermacare Heating Patch helps also.
