I think it's a virus, I had a similar thing when I was a kid. Best to get him to see the Doctor though.

He has a stomach virus most likely. The reason it is green is because it passed through the large intestine too quickly. When it is in the small intestine it has bile causing the color to be green and if it doesn't move slowly through the large intestine and colon it will come out green. Just make sure he is well hydrated and if it lasts more than a few days or contains any trace of blood then see a doctor right away. Common causes for green stool are Salmonella food poisening or Gastroenteritis. If it was just green veges that he ate then he wouldn't also have diahrea. Diahrea is caused by infection of bacteria, virus or parasite. Most likely he just ate something that was not good and it has upset his system and he should be good as gold within a few days.

Could be something he ate or a minor virus. If the pain is low on the right side and he's having problems standing up straight, take him to the ER - it could be his appendix. (Especially if he's vomiting)
Green BMs are not a problem. They can be any color of the rainbow depending on what you eat. The only time you have to worry is if it's black like tar (could be a bleed somewhere), white like mayonnaise (liver problems) or bloody.
Is he just feels a little rough around the edges, give him some clear fluids to drink - flat cola or gingerale or something like that. Stay away from milk and juice because they can be rough on the stomach. If he feels like eating, keep it light and bland and starchy - crackers, toast, pretzels, noodles - stuff like that. If it persists or he's vomiting profusely where he can't keep anything down, call his doctor. Don't give things like Pepto - it can make it worse or last longer - two things you don't want!

I found that when pooh is green its from too much sugar. Some cereals will turn pooh colors from their additives. Cotton candy turns pooh green and its only sugar. Try having him chew crushed ice just topped with gingerale. Chewing ice cools the stomach and eases the cramping.. the gingerale also helps because ginger is good for easing stomach complaints.
Shouldnt be something to worry about. If he doesnt get better call the doctor and ask.
Good luck, hope he feels better soon.

When this obvious colour change happens it is usually due to something that has been digested. Has he been eating or drinking anything which is highly coloured green or on any medication with this colour. Or it could be a form of mucus. Let the body rid itself of any toxins for 12 hours and get him to drink sips of lemonade (flat) with a pinch of salt to replace lost body salts. After the 12 hours he should eat plain dry toast and see how he goes. If things do not improve then see your doctor.

Possibly an intestinal infection. Nothing to worry about, just have him stay away from dairy products for a day or two.

If his skin and/or whites of his eyes look yellow it's probably jaundice. If not it may be malabsorption, failure of the digestive system to absorb nutrients from food properly. If he has a temperature it may well be a bug. If symptoms persist consult a doctor.
