Wii, hands down. The PS3 is a graphical powerhouse, and it has some long run potential, but it had the weakest launch I have ever seen. Crappy games for a great system means.... crap. Sure, Resistance: Fall of Man LOOKS awesome, but when the chips are down, it's the same old FPS.
The Wii, on the other hand, is affordable, is fun to play, and has some awesome titles. The graphics aren't amazing, but Nintendo has never been about the status quo. They've always been about fun. Soon enough, Warioware, Battalion Wars 2, Wii Play, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be out. Battalion Wars 2 and Super Smash Bros. Brawl are both going to support online play. ONLINE SUPER SMASH BROS!!!! That was enough to convince me to get one.

Unless you're willing to commit to Blu-Ray (not saying which format will win), I would go with a Wii. I know that most people will say go with the PS3, but I'm not really sure that it will be worth the $$$. I would get a Wii, play Zelda, and see how the PS3 is doing about 6 months from now.... if they are doing well, get a PS3 then. :-D

I just asked a similar question (albeit with more words) I haven't played the PS3 but I would have to say Wii wins hands down. The editors of EGM unanimously agree.

But why not wait a year for the price of all of them to go down and pick the one with the games you like? In the mean time there has got to be good playable ps2, GC, PC, and xbox games you dont have that you can get for 20 - 30 dollars.

I have both and I say I like the PS3 the best because It replaced my D.V.D. Player, can go online, and the graphics on the games rock!
The Wii is lots of fun too, but the graohics are crummy and I broke my window because of it... =(

Wii, all the way. The PS3 is too expensive, plus the wii integrated the new state of the art controllers, and they have zelda.

wii because of price and everything! the ps3 still has some problems, i dont think its worth waiting. if you put in your zip code into this site, you can get info on shipments of the wii in your area, since they are so hard to get nowadays.

If u want fun then....Wii
If u want graphic and Physics power...ps3
If u want revolutionary play...Wii
If u want a system that doesn't kill it self....Wii
If u want a system that will fry it self wile playing..ps3
If u want revolutionary display and have a 1000+ dollar tv that can support it...ps3
If u are middle class...Wii
If u are rich...ps3
if u are dumb (no efense)....ps3
If u are smart and wise...Wii
and finally the most important thing of all, that will determine how u are is...
If u are cool...Wii
If u are lame/a looser...ps3
